Scooter Safety Rules
Scooters are cheaper than cars, it is also much easier to learn how to drive a scooter. They just have a brake and a gas pedal and depending on the model, they will go either up to 30 miles per hour or up to 50 miles per hour.
You cannot just go into a store, buy a scooter for around $ 2000.00 and drive it home. If the scooter has a motor greater than 50 cc, and it can go faster than 30 miles per hour, you need to get yourself a licence.
Always make sure you have insurance. Get a scooter insurance quote from your insurance agent and see how much it will cost you to get moped insurance or scooter insurance.
You should always wear a helmet when riding. You have only one brain and you need to protect it. Although scooters on the road are increasing, the general traffic still has to get used to it. If you are not wearing a helmet, and you are involved in an accident, you could do serious damage to your brain when your unprotected head hits the pavement. So always wear a helmet.
Check the law in your State.
